Exclusive Interview with Jasted

Q1.
Could you tell me about yourselves?

Our names are Valery and Vladislav, I am 27 years old, Vlad 25.
We come from Russia, from the city of Irkutsk, the city where the largest freshwater lake Baikal is located.
The name of our duet cannot be translated.
When we decided to work together, we could not decide on the name for a long time.
It was important to us that it didn’t sound stupid and didn’t have a designation.
Eventually came up with the idea – “Jasted” we have decided that this sounds recognizable.
Q2.
How did you guys get to know each other and how did you form a duo?
We’ve known each other for a long time.
At the very beginning of our career, when we were just learning to write music, we wrote different remixes, shared with each other, gave each other advice, but all this time it seemed to us that we were making music that we didn’t like. Nobody supported us, we could only dream about it.
At some point, we realized that we like Future House, Bass House, and decided to join forces, which in turn was the right step, and appeared Jasted.
Q3.
Congratulations on signing Spinnin’ Records!
How does it feel and what is the inspiration behind “Keep U”?
Thank you!
We are very glad that we were able to sign a contract with Spinnin Talent Pool.
This is a very important step for us, and a great incentive to move on!
I hope that soon we will sign the contract already with the main Spinnin Records.
Castion offered Us to work on the track “Keep U”. We immediately liked his Demo, and we got to work.
In the beginning, the track sounded very interesting and we thought it stood out from the rest.
Q4.
How did you get signed to Spinnin’ Records and what essential tip would you give upcoming producers who are trying to make it in the scene?
We were just trying to make a good track.
And we did not expect that spinning will be interested in this track, but just a couple of hours later the Manager gave a positive answer, which we are very happy.
Q5.
Who is your biggest musical influence?
We can’t say exactly what affected us. We just like to make music and share it with others
Q6.
If you could work with any other producer or singer, who would they be and why?
Of course, we would like to work with Don Diablo.
We do not want to say that he is an idol for us, but we really like what he does, how much he works, that would be more likely to please their listeners with new tracks.
We hope that someday it will happen and we will write a joint track
Q7.
What is your favorite synth plug-in and how did you discover your signature sound?
We use Serum synthesizer in almost all of our tracks. Just as often use Massive and Nexus.
We realized that the tracks with elements of future bass like the audience, and decided to do something in the same sound, an example, of course, were the tracks Sagan and Don Diablo!
Q8.
What is the most essential production tip you would give an upcoming producers?
I would like to wish novice producers that they need to show more patience and perseverance. Based on our experience, we can say that nothing is easy, it takes a lot of work and most importantly – see the end goal.
Q9.
What does music mean to you?
Music is very important to us!
This is a way to realize yourself, Express your thoughts and emotions, and bring a piece of something good to people.
